In this episode from January 3, 2023, Fr. Tom DiLorenzo reads from and comments upon the third, fourth, and fifth chapters of the gospel of St. Luke. When Jesus is baptized by John in the Jordan river the Holy Spirit descends upon him and the Father speaks, "You are my beloved Son, in you I am well pleased." Later Jesus goes into Galilee in the power of the Holy Spirit and proclaims the kingdom of God by his words and by healing the sick and delivering from the devil those who have been demonized. God's kingdom has come.

Fr. Thomas DiLorenzo

Father Tom DiLorenzo was born in East Boston, Massachusetts in 1946. He graduated from Salem State College, Salem Ma. in 1968, and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Boston by Humberto Cardinal Medeiros in 1979. He has served as a parochial vicar at Sacred Heart Church, Quincy, Ma and at St. Adelaide's Church, Peabody, Ma. Then he spent 25 years as the Administrator of Holy Rosary Church in Winthrop, just outside Boston. Currently he is a senior priest in residence at St. John's Church in Quincy, Ma.
Father Tom has been active in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal for over four decades, and has preached at countless conferences and prayer meetings. In 1984 he began "In Season and Out of Season", a Catholic, evangelical, bible-based outreach on radio.
Fr. Tom has a great love for the Church and has made the enhancement of the spirituality of parish life a priority in his ministry.
